FESTIVALS
Naadam - JULY
Each summer since more than 800 years, Mongolian people gather all around the country to celebrate their cultural heritage.

Men and women compete through 3 mainly games : wrestling, archery and horse racing.You could
also see people singing and dancing, wearing traditional costumes & performing theater plays.
Naadam festival is the most popular festivalin Mongolia.
Golden Eagle - OCTOBER
It takes place each year in the Altai Mountains of Western Mongolia.

Kazakh eagle hunters celebrate their heritage and compete to catch small animals such as foxes and hares with specially trained golden eagles, showing off the skills both of the birds and their trainers.

Prizes are awarded for speed, agility and accuracy, as well as for the best traditional Kazakh dress, and more.
Ice Festival - MARCH
Since 2002, an attractive and challenging ice and snow festival has been held on the frozen Khovsgol Lake.
​
Local communities gather on the lake, there are several winter and cultural activities hold such as ice skating, horse sleighing race, ice sumo and traditional winter games and competitions.
Nomadic reindeer herders and shamans show off their cultural performances, such as arts, music and shaman rituals.
